“We’re looking to work with people who have a background in veterinary nursing, veterinary physiotherapy, equine sports massage therapy or a similar profession, as we pride ourselves on the in-depth knowledge of anatomy that our thermographers have,” say Helen Morrell from VTI. “You need to have commercial experience and understand what it takes to run a business so, if you’re already working for yourself, VTI is a great way to add to what you do, to complement your existing service, or as a standalone business.”
VTI is working with Equine Careers, a website and recruitment service that specialises in office and professional vacancies and opportunities in the equestrian sector.
VTI uses thermal imaging, a technology that has been proven through extensive, published veterinary studies over the last 20 years, as a diagnostic tool for performance management, to monitor treatment and it can even be used as part of a pre-purchase vetting. The non-invasive scans take place at the animal’s home and there’s no need for the animal to be sedated, helping to reduce the cost for the owner.
“It’s important for us to get the right people,” says Helen, “and that’s why we came to Emma. VTI has a great reputation because of the results we deliver and our existing team and this is something that we want to build on. Emma has experience in this area, she knows the industry and we’re already getting some quality leads from interested parties. It’s an exciting time for VTI and we’re really pleased to be working with Equine Careers to help us expand further.”
